During March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic almost everything was closed. When places started to re-open we went around several Gardens in Dorset and in Hampshire the neighbouring county. They are mostly pictures of flowers but sadly Bob doesn't have a clue what most of them are called.

Minterne Gardens about 10 miles (16km) from Dorchester has a big old manor house but is not open to the public as it was re-configured as apartments.

Athelhampton House is the closest to Dorchester and is normally open to the public but because of the pandemic remains closed.

Compton Acres near Sandbanks, Poole is not an old manor house but more a garden centre and restaurant with an excellent garden to walk around.
